For many of us there is something very heart-touching about the culture and images of Italy and France. The scents of newly baked breads, of musty grapes, of lavender and warm garlic, tomato, basil & onion - are all evocative of the Italian and French way of life. So too, an elegant piece of design, warm stonework, romantic music and a perfectly crafted shoe!
Welcome! I am Penny King - project manager, tour organizer and long-time traveler. This group of tours is one about which I feel very passionate! Women friends and colleagues have told me that they want to be able to travel alone and still feel part of a group if they choose. In this selection we have provided exactly that.

This is one of my favourite Florentine spectacles – the parade of leather stalls crossing an almost deserted piazza at the start and end of each day! I love the feeling that just for a while, I am a part of this
very old city.

At present we visit either Italy ( Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany) or France (Paris, Cote D’Azur, Provence, Loire valley). (see itineraries section)
Many of our clients have now become repeat customers. In the next couple of years our scope will expand to include tours of the Greek Islands and Russia – by popular demand!
As a member of our group of 10 “independent-thinking women”, you will be able to share experiences which escape the grasp of ordinary tours. We are still there when the piazzas empty and the tour buses go home. Our small group makes it easy to wander around in places “off the beaten track”.
With the extra time our tours provide, the beauty of Italy and France is there for us to absorb.
On our walks, each corner we turn will reveal something at once ordinary and extraordinary - a carved doorway, an embellished window screen, a tiny shrine with fresh flowers. I find that my head is always swiveling!
We have many opportunities to fossick around in markets, in artisan’s tiny shops and designer ateliers or outlets. To gain most enjoyment is often to see, touch and inhale - not always to buy.
